Abstract: The self-assessment essay was the last major essay for our class and it encouraged us to think about the course’s learning objectives and evaluate the extent to which we completed the course learning objectives. It also encouraged us to think about how our perception of writing changed this semester. My essay was heavily focused on evaluating myself with the course learning objectives chart, but I felt good about how I answered the question of what writing is and does. I would still like to work on expanding that part for my essay rather than being so focused on the objectives.
